Find below the forms needed for APCMs in 2023. Note these forms include the ‘fit and proper’ declarations for nominations now required to be signed before the meetings.
It is important under safer recruiting that ‘Fit and Proper’ declarations are completed and that new members, if they require DBS checks, should be processed before they take on responsibilities.

This notice must be displayed at least 2 Sundays before the meeting is held (under rule M2(2) page 74 of Church representation Rules 2020 )
Notice that Churchwardens will be elected
This notice must also be displayed at least 2 Sundays before the meeting

These must be signed before the meeting
If your PCC doesn’t elect a third of members each year then every member should be nominated. If you have not filled in a ‘Fit for Purpose’ declaration it would be good if all members do this year.
Deanery Synod – We elect Deanery Synod members this year for a period of 3 years.
This form should be filled in for those members standing for Deanery Synod including the Fit for Purpose declaration. Note Deanery Synod members are not elected with a PCC member form and will stand for three years.
Electoral Roll
Notice to revise the Roll
This year we only need to revise the Roll but you must publish the roll 14 days before the meeting. Post this notice at least 2 months before the meeting and remain on display for more than 14 days. The Roll revised period should be no more than 28 days before the meeting but no later than 15 days before the meeting.

This year’s agenda is no different from previous years but you should elect your Deanery Synod members before you elect PCC members as your Deanery Synod members count as PCC members.
