How do I get my Marriage Certificate?

With the change in the marriage registration by the General Register Office you now will not receive you marriage certificate in the service on the day of your wedding. Rather you sign a document in the service which we then pass to the GRO. They will  then prepare and print your certificate for you. This means that your certificate will be ready in a few weeks following on from your wedding.

Wiltshire sadly has no on-line booking mechanism, so to receive your certificate, you need to phone 0300 0034571 to request and organise with the registrar for them to post it to you, or you can pick up your marriage certificate. It is a good idea to get several copies as you will be using these to change names and with many after your wedding.
